When it rains in Los Angeles, I can't get enough of it. I love wearing galoshes, which are pretty necessary to combat the downhill flows and earthquake borne potholes. Umbrellas are fun in downpours and the freeways are usually empty. The rain changes the entire landscape, often leaving snow in the San Gabriel mountains and clearing the air for crisp views for miles around. The best part is when the rain clears up an hour or so before sunset, leaving interesting clouds and small holes for the orange and reds to shine through. I took this picture two weeks ago when I was playing around with the shutter speed on my camera, and I kinda like it.
